Adventure Landing Dallas

Adventure Landing Dallas, located in North Dallas, Texas, has been a family favorite for years. Conveniently positioned on Coit Road, just south of the President George Bush Turnpike, it’s easy to reach for both locals and visitors. The park’s future accessibility will improve even more with the completion of the nearby Cotton Belt Trail, which will offer pedestrian and bicycle access from the north, connecting directly to the DART Silver Line.

Attractions for All Ages

Adventure Landing has long operated as a privately owned entertainment center. It offers something for everyone:

  • Miniature golf courses for all skill levels

  • Go-kart tracks for safe, competitive racing

  • Laser tag arenas for action-packed fun

  • Batting cages for both casual and serious hitters

  • Bumper boats, perfect for cooling off during hot Texas summers

  • An arcade filled with video games and prize redemption games

These attractions make the park an ideal place for indoor and outdoor family entertainment. While you’re in the area, don’t forget to visit Celestial Park, another great spot in North Dallas.

A Hub for Group Events

Beyond individual fun, Adventure Landing also hosts group gatherings. Families love celebrating birthdays in the park’s dedicated party rooms. Schools, churches, and companies regularly book events here too. Group discounts make it an affordable option for large parties.

Preserving a Community Landmark

In December 2024, the City of Dallas purchased the 13.48-acre property that includes Adventure Landing and the neighboring Hildebrand soccer fields. The city paid $13.6 million to ensure the land remains a space for recreation, especially in a rapidly growing area often called a “park desert.”

Although developers offered more money, the previous owners chose to preserve the park’s legacy. Dallas City Council member Cara Mendelsohn noted that the property has been part of the community for over 30 years, providing lasting memories for countless families.

Continued Operation and Future Plans

Under city ownership, the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department will oversee the Hildebrand soccer fields. The existing Adventure Landing team will continue to operate the amusement park under the same name. This ensures that the park’s character and quality remain unchanged.

The city expects the park and fields to generate between $500,000 and $1 million annually, which will help maintain the facilities and support other local parks.

A Vision for Community Impact

Local officials and residents alike have celebrated the acquisition. With over 20,000 people living within a 10-minute walk, the park now plays an even more vital role in providing accessible recreation in North Dallas.

The park will also tie into broader city goals, including increased green space and youth engagement. There are plans to include Adventure Landing in the Dallas Summer Teen Pass program, offering free summer access to teens. Meanwhile, the Hildebrand soccer fields may soon bear the name of the land’s former owners, honoring their contributions to the community.

A Bright Future Ahead

Adventure Landing remains a cornerstone of family entertainment in Dallas. From mini golf and bumper boats to birthday parties and school field trips, the park continues to serve generations of residents. Thanks to the City of Dallas and the commitment of its long-time operators, Adventure Landing is set to thrive for years to come—bringing fun, community, and recreation to North Dallas.
