On the day of service, your experienced technician reviews what he finds with you before starting repairs.

Clear access to the controller, backflow device and any known problem zones, unlock side gates, and secure pets away from the work area. If a zone has been shut off, leave it off until the technician arrives. Note the symptoms you have seen, including which zones are affected and whether the issue appears every cycle or only occasionally, since intermittent faults are easier to trace with that history.
